Hi...I'm new to the forum...had read old posts about Original clairol herbal essence shampoo.  I've been on a quest to find this shampoo.  The link to buy from clairol in several old posts no longer works.  Today I was in the local Winn dixie grocery store and found a product called "mirta de perales" Herbal Fresh Shampoo...when I opened the top to smell it...I found paradise...it smells exatcly like the old clairol product...it's even green. I haven't tried it yet, but wanted to post right away.  The bottle states "formulated with an herbal complex and silk protien. Naturaly balanced plant extracts have active substances found in wild flowers. Leaves hair silky and manageble with a fresh fragrance of herbs.  Balanced cleansing for all types of hair. I have also seen these products in drugstores like wallgreens and cvs.  The web site on the bottle is mirtadeperales.com  I have checked it and it is all in spanish.  Will post again on how this works.  I didn't find it with the regular shampoo in winn dixie, but in a section where they had specialty beauty items.  An 8 oz bottle was $5 and change.  Who knows....maybe this product will be better than clairol's?

clairol herbal essence shampoo has more in common with the famous restaurant scene from the movie When Harry Met Sally than it does with hair care. But when cosmetics advertising works, it really works and Herbal Essences' sales are enormous. Whether or not your love life will improve after—or while you are—washing your hair with any of these overly fragrant shampoos and conditioners (which aren't organic in the least) is something I can't review. However, what I am 100% sure of is that you will not look beautifully coifed like the women in these commercials from using any of these products.
